In the early 1950's, Hubert Watson, founder of Garden City Furniture, purchased a small store of 2000 square feet at the present site of Garden City Furniture. Today, the store and warehouse have been expanded to approximately 70,000 square feet.

Garden City Furniture is a customer oriented store. We try to service and provide our customers with a shopping experience that is pleasant and fills their needs for home furnishings. We offer selections for the traditional, contemporary, transition and resort looks.

We sell name brands like Flexsteel, Sealy, Stanley - plus 200 other brands. We have a large selection of merchandise in stock that can be delivered immediately. We also do special orders. We offer interior design work in the home. We have a delivery service and a customer service department that can handle most furniture repairs.

The store is presently under the third generation of management. Garden City Furniture has long been an active member of the Grand Strand community.

We are members of the Furniture First Buying group which gives us buying power of 170 stores.
